The Big Gig

I aspire to be a professional photographer someday. So when Amy asked me to be the photographer for the Aerotek Holiday Party, I jumped at the chance. This is what I've been dreaming of. It was a great chance to get some good experience, and kind of ease my way into a professional venue. Everyone made me feel so welcomed and comfortable - I had an amazing time.
Here's a small selection of some of my favorites from the evening. I took around 630 shots, and narrowed it down to about 260 solid photos. I think what I like most about these, and about photographing people in general, is the all of the emotions captured. I love seeing the look on people's facing and capturing the memories they are all making. Although I prefer more artistic forms, photographing events is very rewarding.
I'll need some more practice for sure, but this experience has made me feel so much more confident about my work and reignited the flame for photography.
